Brittany Sharps has been a riding instructor for 15 years but has had a passion for riding and horses for a lifetime.

"I teach balance-seat riding with an emphasis on dressage,"Brittany Sharps said. "I am a firm believer in students learning to focus on riding but also learn from the ground about horsemanship."

Sharps has trained with dressage coaches Christian Garwig and Patrick Tigchelaar in first and second level dressage.

"I have trained, and started, horses for the last 18 years and use a natural horsemanship approach," Sharps said. "I truly love teaching and training, "it is my passion in life."

She looks forward to working with your beginner and seeing you soon.

Anna Mozingo is an Assistant Instructor with plenty of history here at Canaan Farms. She has been riding here since the age of 11 and has been a fan and important member of our barn family ever since. She is now our farm photographer and has been a camp counselor assisting with riding instruction and running the art program since her early teens. Anna earned her Bachelor Degree from St. Mary's College during our most challenging year of 2020 in Art History & Photography. Anna is now stepping up to further develop her teaching skills as a riding instructor after her many years as an instructor's aide.  

Sophia Brumley has been riding for twelve years and has been working at Canaan Farms for three years. Sophia teaches balance seat riding. Her favorite thing about Canaan Farms is the family-like environment, which she says is difficult to find in the horse world. She says that is what makes Canaan Farms such a special place to work and ride at.
